Filmonic: Dakota Fanning in New Moon?

    Yes it is a supporting role but really its a great role especially since shes now part of the young Hollywood scene. It would be a mistake for her not to take it. All her roles previously where children. I think it would be a good move considering all the actors there considering for other roles. Young Hollywood wants in on these movies. And it would be a mistake not to take it.

    Considering what vapid, useless movies these are and will undoubtedly be, it would absolutely be a mistake for Dakota to take such a role. Unfortunately, she's the target demographic that these hideous books appeal to, so she may end up taking it based on that. However it would be a very poor career choice and I hope her manager knows better. It's not promising if they are in negotiations, though, it shows her team didn't have enough sense to turn it down immediately. I fear the worst, but I hope to be proved wrong.

    Dakota is perfect for this role. Yes, she has been in amazing big movies, but if she wants to do this, so should she. Her facial features are perfect for Jane. If you haven't read the saga, they describe her w/ big round eyes and full lips. Dakota has that, and she will be able to present the lethal power of Jane from her eyes. This should be her choice, and it wouldn't be a step down from what she has been doing. She's a teenager & she's bound to like these books as any other teenager should.

    Dakota would be the perfect JANE! If you have read the Twilight saga then you will know. Dakota could portay that kind of innocence and at the same time be overwhelmingly creepy, which is who Jane is.

    I don't like Dakota for Jane. Jane is my favorite character and I would be sad to see her changed even just a little bit. Jane is supposed to have brown hair, not blond. But I think that if I can get past this one tiny detail, she would make an okay Jane...

    dakota does not look like a jane to me. i have read the saga, it is a tie for bella, jane ,and renesme for my fav. dakota just wont connect with the audience as jane.
