Silver Surfer movie not happening anytime soon
Also like with pixar in 3d Animation they get one of the best in the printed area...they just make sure they dont lose important areas...I only see em telling marvel create and add some new kid oriented comics to their line.
...well and who knows maybe Disney puts out the pocket again and gets some good old movie rights back in the house of marvel like spiderman or xmen :)
I mean since they sure wanna get into that too, without loosing some sweet green on paramoun, they sure could start there :D
The best part of Pixar is their ability to make new IP, something that is very lacking in the Hollywood now, and if you make Pixar make comic book movies, I think it would devalue them as a production studio. But then again, I don't think you can make Pixar do anything they don't want to do.
Honestly, what's probably going to happen is a few cross overs, nothing severe, and Marvel will reach more people around the world. More merchandice, more, (and better), gaming, amazing funding.. Also, more movie possibilities. You gotta think, Marvel went bank rupt once. Now Marvel's going to have deep, secure roots.
Bottom line, all the guys who were making the comics at Marvel yesterday are still going to be making the Marvel comics. The same movie guys are involved with the movies. >.> Not much is going to change, Disney's just gonna crazy pimp Marvel out, and let the company flourish. The only thing will be that Disney will have a cut of the profits, which sounds bad, but isn't really.
As much as I hate all the HSM and Hannah Montanna stuff, they're not gonna kid-friendly EVERYTHING. If anything, Disney's been trying to shake off the kid image.
This is a good buisness move, and hopefully not too much will change. Lots of companies are interlocked, and most people don't even know it. Like Future Shop and Best Buy. :3 They always play opposing forces, but they're owned by the same guys.
And I know this is a bad example, but when Nickalonian bought Neopets, the only thing that changed was there was far more merchandice, a lot more games, more games, and it was introduced in a bunch more countries. Actually, that's a great exmaple. >.>
Miramax hasn't become laden with Disney characters so why should we assume Marvel is going to
Okay, this guy is saying he thinks Thor, Captain America and Avengers might not even happen now. >_> But, he sounds like he has no basis for what he's talking about to be honest.
Disney keeps saying how they're not gonna touch the movies in production right now, and how they admired how successful Iron Man was, and how they want to bring more unknown characters into the light. O.o Anyway, I just wanted to hear someone elses' thoughts on this besides the rabid, drama queen fanboys that are saying it's the death of Marvel.
plus this guy saying that the movie will be PG instead of PG-13 thats bullshit. it will be stupid that Marvel will turn their characters to PG films. who wants to see Black Panter, Hawkeye, Dr Strange, etc turn into PG films that dont make sense. i think that guy talking too much before he thinks.
Disney is well known for Mickey Mouse and co but people forget that Warner Bros has Loony Tunes. Disney/Marvel is 2009 version of WB/DC thats what they doing with the company.
