district 9 WELL.. that film was 1 of the best and the most unique film ive ever seen in my life, i would be a pointless task in creating that unless there was going to be a sequel

if there isnt a sequel then that just ruined the movie cause the guy said he would be back three years later?! so think they should start another movie at the third year point.

I don't see it as being unhappy with the ending as that has nothing to do with it for me because I feel that Directer Neill Blomkamp has a pretty good sequel already (from what he's being saying) and that it's basically to do with how he feels the public has taken to the film, as he's said something like if a sequel is requested then he'd love to do one... Now this is where the money comes into it without even realising it because if it doesn't make enough money then the production companies won't pay for a sequel.... Anyway I'm hoping they get it together and make a sequel and realise its totally ridiculous not to make a sequel just because the first movie was sooo good it should be left to stand alone, ridiculous as even with a sequel it can still stand alone IF IT HAS TO, but some how I don't think it will!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i sort of agree with an anit-sequel cause its a good idea to leave you think about alot of things

not all movies should be left with happy endings or everything to be explained in the sequel.

SPOLIERS Yeah, I hope they make another film. I don't get this anti-sequel sentiment I'm reading a lot on the webs. People tend to justify it by saying that "the questions should be left unanswered". But think about all the questions which would make an awesome film. Why did they have such awesome firepower? What other space beings have they been battling? If the home planet is only 1 1/2 years away, why didn't those aliens Christopher sets out to commandeer a rescue, come looking for them? Etc etc. It was too epic in ideas to be left with such a small, though spectacular, film. Bring on "District 10 - Prawnography"

I loved district 9 and I think that it deserves a sequel because this is one of the only movies int he last 5 years that I felt is worthy of a franchise following. The story can go in so many directions and all of them good. The only way i wouldn't want blomkamp to do a sequel is if the studios and spielberg actually let him go ahead with the Halo: Fall of Reach Film.
