Very cool news. I love playing Gears, and I've always thought the story would make a great film. I don't see it as a Lord of the Rings type film though. Doesn't make much sense to me. At no point during the game did I ever think to myself "Wow, this is just like the Lord of the Rings!"

It's more-so a reference to the epic nature and feel of LOTR. I'm hopeful, but concerned that they are going to overlook the creature element. The Locusts are obviously an important part of the story, and capturing their essence is crucial.
