anyway for the casting i would cast:

Carol Ferris - Rachel McAdams or Emily Blunt
Dr. Hector Hammond - Jonny Lee Miller or James Caviezel
Sinestro - Hugo Weaving
Abin Sur - Doug Jones

Emily Blunt would be cool. She missed out on the Black Widow role in Iron Man 2, so this would get her back into a superhero world.
