Check out his back catalog and history.

Some great (well, imo), original and quirky films that almost always have a hard time 'selling' or pleasing the studios. Time Bandits, Brazil, Fisher King, Twelve Monkeys, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.... all cult classics at this stage but none of them (with the possible exception of Monkeys) the sort of thing studios jump up and down for.

Not to mention his Monty Python work. Being a Python = instant respect in my books.

I want to see this film. Ledger is an afterthought.

Re: Heath Ledger’s Final Movie Having Trouble Selling

It could very well deserve negative reviews and a small release. It's just a shame Heath Ledger's last film would end up that way.

Re: Heath Ledger’s Final Movie Having Trouble Selling

umm, it wouldn't be a shame if it deserved it? Last I heard we don't rate movies because we feel sorry for people in them.

Re: Heath Ledger’s Final Movie Having Trouble Selling

Poor Gilliam just doesn't get a break. Love (most) of his films... Brothers Grimm was a bit shit though. Got the impression he was doing that one to get on better terms with the studios, which obviously didn't work out.

Still looking forward to Parnassus. When and however I get to see it.
