The film bears absolutely no resemblance to the short story. It *is* very difficult to understand why the choice of title as once it has been removed from the short story it does become incomprehensible. The short story is worth reading for its own sake but it is not like Ian Fleming's other Bond writing.

Re: Quantum Of Solace Reviews

grate movie

Re: Quantum Of Solace Reviews

The production company must have spent a fortune in post with that editing. The action scenes were chopped, hacked then superglue'd back together like a mosaic of pyrotechnics. Where are the gadgets? the weapons? the cars? and most importantly where the heck were the love scenes? This is the most disappointing Bond film yet.

Re: Quantum Of Solace Reviews

Quantum's edit was too frenetic...particularly in the beginning.
Daniel Craig is gorgeous, mysterious, fascinating and modern. I LOVE his James Bond. I'll go to all future James Bond films if he's playing the role.

Re: Quantum Of Solace Reviews

Best of the best alo james girl looks fantastic

Re: Quantum Of Solace Reviews

Just came from watching Quantum of Solace with my wife. Can't be good when you reach your car and others are standing outside their car complaining. What about you say? Disappointment. Like when Bond and M have to stop to tie the story together with some narrative. Whatever happened to watching a James Bond movie and understanding what is going on by simply watching the actors act. How about holding the camera still when there is an action sequence. Like stopping the jerky camera action. This not a movie I want to see over and over. I think that is the gauge of a good James Bond movie. Hey, that is the gauge of any good movie. I base my decision to purchase a DVD (now Blu-Ray) movie on the basis of do I want to see a movie more than once. I have no desire to ever see this movie again. Hey Barbara, that should be your litmus test. Ask yourself before making a movie like this again. Would the average moviegoer want to watch your movie more than once or buy a DVD (or Blu-Ray)to watch the movie more than once. If it can't pass that test, don't make it - go back to the drawing board. Lastly, you don't have the good guy (Bond)use his friend's still beating body as a bullit shield and then have Bond dump his body in a dumpster. Bad form as the British would say. Totally out of character. You should listen to Roger Moore's opinion next time.

Re: Quantum Of Solace Reviews

Whatever happened to Q and the cool gadgets Bond would get and the humour? Where's the villian's bleeding eyes or funny looking teeth/bullet lodged in his brain? Where's the intense scene where our hero gets captured and tortured and the villian reveals his plan to our hero? The introduction music was weak, and the car chase seemed like it was a bad version of bourne identity, the only thing that saved this movie was Daniel Craig as Bond. I would say this is one of the worst Bonds to date. Golden Eye with Pierce, was much more epic and a real spy/bond style movie, Casino Royale was a much better movie/storyline. Quantum of Solace is like Casino Royale 1.5, almost like an after thought project and not a movie. The next James Bond Movie better have sexier cars, gambling action, gadgets, product placements, submarines, tanks, rocket launchers and music. They didn't even play the theme song during any action sequences. 2/5

Re: Quantum Of Solace Reviews

I think the name sucks! What in Bond's name does Quantum of Solace mean? I long for the Goldfinger days or Doctor No. Stop trying to be cool or cooler than the last and simply name the movies without having to be a graduate of Cambridge University to decipher them.
