I liked the movie. I'll admit to being a massive Rogan fan though, and possibly an aspiring comedian myself. I suppose that's where my interest was held, this didn't feel like a drawn out movie to me. I'm also a Leslie Mann fan, big time [since George of the Jungle]. Bana's char felt too simply won over by his karma inspiration.

Maybe the movie speaks to a particular audience only. I really enjoyed it and felt sorry for bastard characters and laughed a lot. I also sympathised entirely with Dead Poet Society, being a young lad in school when I first watched it, and remembering when I had been a young lad in school when I rewatch. Both movies spoke to me personally, so both worked for me.

Sandler should've given up after Click.

It really was an awful film, I was sitting in the cinema hoping it would end soon!!!

Eh I see where your coming from. I enjoyed the movie. Though if I had read this review before hand...I probably wouldn't have. I suppose in a way you could feel sorry for some of the characters if you can relate to them in some sort of way.

Yeah, totally agree. It felt like the sort of amateur screenplay where the writer tries to cram in everything he knows about everything. And in Apatow's case, that resulted in him writing two entirely separate movies and apparently not realizing it. Like: why was Ira even in the second half of the movie? Oh, so it could suddenly turn back into a buddy movie in the last five minutes in order to avoid actually following through on anything that happened in the second half of the movie.
