The character of Batman first appeared in 1939;the town of Batman, Turkey, was established in 1955. By all rights, D.C. should be suing Turkey for using their name.(that is if they wanted too put copywrite claim.)

Jeeze, this is as stupid as that lawsuit that almost got the Gamecube and Classic controllers banned from store shelves just because it was similar to something patented about twenty years ago. Just idiots trying to get some money because they have a little bit of luck relating to something that's successful. If they didn't like their town name being used in movies, they should have said something before there were about a hundred of them.

I hate people who do stuff like this.

Would the case be held in Turkey? lol they should learn to read fine print, end of credits, characters, names etc. is coincidence, fail.

lol these people are just jealous. honestly...are they out of their mind. okay in that case why not sue America for using the word Turkey to describe a wild fowl? Maybe I should sue people for using the word Jokerfest. My God, make money some other way instead of ridiculous reasons. If they win...then the world really is a sad place
