I guess that's proof The Hobbit is loved by all ages, and probably why The Lord of the Rings made billions :D

i love the hobbit its my favorit tolkien ever written and the cartoon is awsome. i hope they do this story perfectly and not ruin it like other movie adaptions from books like coff coff I AM LEGEND(it sucked) i hope they dont try to tie it into the lord of the rings, it realy is a stand alone a story for bilbo and already kinda ties in...i trust deltoro and jackson to listen to mckellen again and not try to ruin the films....hopefuly they will make the SILMARILLION next...aka the bible of middle earth..........and this should realy be called.....THE HOBBIT or THERE AND BACK AGAIN.

    Good to know.

Nice to see it when the film makers respect the original work. Then again, if they do not, there might be some lynchings as a result.

I don't know, I'm not feeling very enthusiastic about this movie. I adore The Hobbit; it's easily my favorite book. But... one of the things that so endears me to it is its charm and simplicity. It's not a dark or serious story; even dark events are told in a relatively lighthearted tone. In other words, it's got a very, very different feel to it than the Lord of the Rings trilogy... I'm afraid if they try to match the mood of the movie to the mood of the trilogy's movies, it'll just lose its appeal. Not to mention over-complicating the story... sigh. Oh well. I guess only time will tell...
