PLEASE!!! DON'T! i hate vanessa and i would be VERY mad and sad if they chose her to be part of new moon;;;; seriously. and i agree with other people, she has WAY more haters than fans so just to make her life easier: DON'T BE IN NEW MOON!! EVERYONE WILL HATE YOU!!

Just my opinion, but I think it's a mistake to cast big name actors into the movie. I think part of the reason Twilight was so successful is because the actors weren't household names, which enabled them to actually become the character for the movie goers. Because I'd never heard of or seen him before, Robert Pattinson IS Edward. No way anybody ever thought of Brad Pitt as "Joe Black". He was simply Brad Pitt playing a character. Big stars are going to bring along their big egos and entourages. Find actors who embody the characters and the movie will be a success.

I am soooo dissapointed that she thinks she can play leah.....she basically belongs to Disney therefore she should not audition for New Moon. And Zac is gonna be ticked if she gets the part.....bein wit Robert and all that. Anyway.....Summit please do not let her get the part. Do your fans some justice please!!!! Well Vanessa would make a great leah so what if more people hate her. I think she's make a good movie. she would be the perfect for the role. so what if shes not on all the time.

i think u she looks perfect for the role but her fan base is definetly a problem! i agree with larissa, she does have more haters than fans but she definetly looks right for the part...i just kinda wish she was a different person. u know, better fanbase, better personality.....but i can definetly see her as leah. but i mean think about it guys! leah is barley in the book! she barely has any full on scenes so it really wont be that bad, besides fans cant resist seeing the movie, even if it does have some jacked up disney star in it, u KNOW they wont be able to stay away, especially with that hottie of a werewolf on the screen (i'm a jacob fan...heh heh..sorry) but yah thats my opinion.

Summit Entertainment choosing Vanessa Hudgens for this role would be a very, very big mistake on their part: she has more haters than she does fans. Even when this whole ordeal was only a slight rumor, Twilight fans were angry beyond imaginable. If she gets the role, it will be extremely and utterly dissapointing.

I have to disagree with your assessment Larissa. The Twilight fans are (disturbingly) full tilt and will watch regardless.

But there's no need to fret because her career is dead for teenybopper roles like Twilight. She's been marked by Disney. The only thing she'll be doing is disappearing for a decade and reappearing in some stage production that is all meta. At least that's what she would do if she had talent.

Perhaps disappear for a decade and appearing in Playboy to very little fare is her only showbiz options left at this point.
